Q: Do I have to be a Maine resident
to take the NIAAA Leadership Training courses through the MCSC?
A: No. Non-Maine residents are able to take NIAAA Leadership
Training courses offered by the MCSC. Courses completed will
fulfill the NIAAA requirement for the Certification Program.
Q: Do I have to be an athletic administrator or NIAAA
member to take a NIAAA Leadership Training course?
A: No. Anyone interested in athletic administration is welcome
to register for a NIAAA Leadership Training course through the
MCSC.
Q: Is there a deadline for course completion?
A: Athletic administrators who register for an online NIAAA
Leadership Training course have 6 months from the date of
enrollment to complete the course.
Q: Am I required to access the course at specific times?
A: No. Students may log in and out of the course at his/her own
convenience and progress through the course at his/her own
pace. The only deadline established by the MCSC is regarding
course completion (6 months from date of enrollment).
Q: How do I know if I completed the course successfully?
A: To successfully complete the course you must receive a
minimum test score of 60% and an overall course average of 75%.
The Quizzes will account for 40% of your overall course
average, while the Final Exam will account for 60%. Upon
meeting this requirement you will receive a certificate of
completion from the NIAAA and an email confirmation from the
MCSC. In addition, you will have the option of applying for 1/2
CEU from the University of Maine. Following completion, the
MCSC will mail you a CEU application.
Q: When will I receive my confirmation of completion?
A: The MCSC staff will check for course completion on a weekly
basis. You will receive an email confirmation of completion
once it has been determined that you have met all the course
requirements. At the time, the MCSC will notify the NIAAA of
your successful completion and you will receive an email
confirmation as well. Following your electronic notifications,
you will receive a certificate and CEU application from the
MCSC through the mail and a document of completion from the
NIAAA. |
