Making a Week 2 Lineup

posted in: Play Football | 0

After much anticipation for week one, we now face the week 2 dliemma. Who do we start to get us not only in the money, but way ahead of the pack.

This Week’s Roster: total salary of $47,100.

QB – Sam Bradford for Philadelphia hosting Dallas ($6,600)

Bradford played only five games over the last two seasons for St Louis due to knee injuries but has been chosen by the coach to lead the Philadelphia offence. Despite fitness concerns he can get his career back on track this season and is now preparing for his second game as an Eagle on Sunday against the Cowboys.

RB – Eddie Lacy for Green Bay hosting Seattle ($7,200)

Lacy has been a top 10 running back over the last two seasons and is set for another good year with Green Bay. He is now part of a squad that is one of the best in the NFC despite the injury blow concerning reciever Jordy Nelson. Lacy comes into the match of an 85 yards return and a touchdown last weekend.

RB – Frank Gore for Indianapolis at The New York Jets ($4,800)

Gore has been a top ten player for most rushing yards over the last three seasons but has moved on from San Francisco to Indianapolis. The Colts have invested in several veteran free agents including Gore in their bid to win the big one. They have an easy schedule and Gore can figure this weekend.

WR – Allen Robinson for Jacksonville hosting Miami ($4,900)

Robinson has been removed from the injury list so should take part of this match on Sunday. He recorded 60 of 67 snaps in offense last weekend. He can be equally busy against the Dolphins in Week 2 and increase his total of receiving yards that saw him rank 10th last week in this category.

WR – Golden Tate for Detroit at Minnesota ($6,300)

Detroit played some decent football last season and Tate can help them reach a higher level this time. The Lions could have beaten Dallas in the playoffs but they fell down due to a low point’s average. The selection is questionable for Sunday and if he plays Tate will be looking to build on his four catches from the first fixture of the season.
WR – Nelson Agholor for Philadelphia hosting Dallas ($5,500)

Agholor plays for the Eagles against Dallas having caught one pass for five yards in the Monday night loss to the Falcons. He had an outstanding first preseason game so possible underachieved when the real action began. He can grow into the season and that process will begin at home to Dallas.

TE – Jordan Cameron for Miami at Jacksonville ($4,000)

Miami can be competitive this season in the AFC east and the Patriots will not have everything their own way. The Dolphins are stronger than last term and Cameron can help them have a good season. He caught four passes for 73 yards in Sunday’s 17-10 win over the Redskins.

FLEX – Tre Mason for St Louis at Washington ($4,700)

The St Louis defense improved in the second half of last season but the side have a tough set of early fixtures that may leave them with too much ground to make up on other teams. Mason should recover from injury to play at Washington where he can embark on a successful season as a running back.

DST – Seattle Seahawks at the Green Bay Packers ($3,100)

The best have got better with the arrival of Jimmy Graham at tight end. He caught six of 8 targets in 51 yards and had a touchdown in Seattle’s first match of the season but this was lost at the Rams. The Seahawks had problems getting the ball to Graham but there should be an improvement in this area for their Week 2 fixture. They conceded an average of just 16.9 points last season and have lost twice at home in three seasons. They can get their year on track by winning at Green Bay.
